PSE was contracted to convert the current operator interface from Siemens Process Suite to PCS7 OS/APACS. This project involved modifying the standard PCS7 OS library symbols to more closely match the symbols being used in Process Suite. PSE created new graphic symbols and faceplates to add to the standard Siemens OS library. PSE performed the database automation function using the APACS DBA tool and built the database for the new OS from the APACS HMI comments. PSE converted approximately 59 existing Process Suite graphics into dynamic OS graphics. The security features within OS were designed to match the security currently existing in the Process Suite.
