Process Engineering & Design

“Our process engineers have a diverse background in the petrochemical, specialty chemical, mining, food and animal feed fields.

Our process engineers develop the overall plant design for the handling and converting raw materials into valuable products. Our designs involve selection of the most effective means of storing, processing, and transporting materials throughout a modern plant. Design begins with Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Process Descriptions and Material and Energy Balances (MEB), followed by the more detailed Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&ID) and Control Narratives. Detailed calculations and specifications are made to insure that, first and foremost, the process is safe to humans and the environment; meeting all of the applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards. Alternatives including tried-and-true methods and innovative state-of-the-art advances in technology are evaluated and weighed to achieve an optimum utilization of labor, energy, and materials in producing a safe, profitable, and environmentally friendly design. Process Engineering is utilized at all stages of a plants life including: Green field designs, feasibility studies, process hazards analysis, troubleshooting, quality control, energy utilization, and capacity improvements.”
